Study purposes only

Learning Studio is a free study resource published by Straight Shift Digital LLC, doing business as Str8shift Softwares, in Killeen, Texas. Using it means you accept the terms below. They are written in plain language on purpose; the plain language is the agreement.

What this is, and is not

It is a self-directed course for learning. It is not professional, legal, financial, security or career advice, and it is not a substitute for formal training, a qualified instructor or hands-on experience.
Nothing here is a credential. Levels, streaks, achievements, chapter passes and “course readiness” are study records on your own device. They are not certificates, transcripts or proof of competence, and they are not verified by anyone.
A certification checkpoint compares your course evidence with an exam's published objectives. It is an estimate of readiness. It is not an exam result, a promise that you will pass, a statement of eligibility, or official preparation for any exam. Exam rules, eligibility, fees and outcomes belong to the exam vendor.
Completing the course does not guarantee a job, a promotion, a pay rise or any other outcome.

Exam names and objective numbers appear only so you can see which published objective a lesson relates to. No exam questions are reproduced here, and this course is not official training for any of these exams.

Security and hacking content

Later chapters teach defensive security and ethical-hacking concepts. Practise them only inside this app's simulations or on computers, networks and accounts you own or have explicit written permission to test. Accessing or interfering with systems you are not authorised to use is a crime in the United States and most other countries, regardless of intent. You are solely responsible for how you use what you learn. Str8shift Softwares does not authorise, encourage or accept responsibility for any unauthorised activity.

Accuracy and warranty

The content was written and checked carefully, and every lesson runs the same way for everyone, but it may still contain errors, and software and exam objectives change. The course is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Straight Shift Digital LLC is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, this course. If you find a mistake, email contact@str8shift.com and it will be looked at.

Privacy

No account is needed. Without one, your progress, drafts and preferences are stored only in your browser on your device. Nothing about your learning is sent to us. Clearing browser data removes it. There is no progress file to download or load: progress can only come from work done in the app.
Optional account. If you sign in with an emailed code, your email address and a copy of the same progress data are stored in a database hosted by Supabase in the United States, so you can continue on another device. You can ask for a copy of your data or for the account to be deleted at any time by emailing contact@str8shift.com.
No advertising, no tracking pixels, no sale of data. The hosting provider (Vercel) keeps ordinary server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, for security and operations.
Children. The course is not directed at children under 13, and accounts are not offered to them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and it will be removed.

Using the course

Do not use the course to break the law, to harm others, or to interfere with the service or other learners.
Do not present study records from this app as official credentials.
The course and its content are copyright Straight Shift Digital LLC. A public licence for the code and lesson content is planned; until it is published, all rights are reserved, and you may use the course for your own personal study.
We may change or stop the course at any time. Your local progress stays on your device regardless.

Governing law and contact
